Eligibility
Any 4th through 12th grade boy or girl who lives or attends school in Boston or Chelsea is eligible to play on a MetroLacrosse team. MetroLacrosse offers three levels of play to address both the athletic and emotional growth of our players:
- The Youth League is open to 4th, 5th, and 6th grade boys and girls.
- The Junior League is open to 7th and 8th grade boys and girls.
- The High School League is open to 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade boys and girls.
Fall Programs
Youth & Juniors Fall Season
Fall season is 8 weeks long and practices/games are on Saturday mornings. Sessions are held at either Franklin Field or Chelsea High School. A bus will take players from Chelsea to Dorchester or vice versa for practices. This is a great chance for new participants to learn the basics of the game and for returners to sharpen their skills.
Dates: September 15-November 3, 2012
Eligibility: Boys and girls who live or go to school in Boston or Chelsea and who are in 4th-8th grade
Registration: Open for the month of August
High School Fall Season
Fall season is 8 weeks long and practices are held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week. Two days are at Moakley Field in South Boston and the third day is an indoor practice at the MetroLacrosse office. Participants are required to get themselves to and from practice at both locations. No transportation is provided. This is a great chance for new participants to learn the basics of the game and for returners to sharpen their skills.

Winter Programs
Winter Vacation Camp
Spring Training is a one week program that takes place during February School Vacation week. Practices will be filled with drills and games to help players get ready for the upcoming Spring Season. Players new to MetroLacrosse are welcome to participate.
Dates: February 18-22, 2013, 1-3pm

High School Winter Workouts
Winter Workouts is 7 weeks long and meets Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of each week. Two days are at a gym to work on strength, agility and stick work and the third day is an indoor practice at the MetroLacrosse office. This is a good opportunity for returners to prepare for the Spring Season.

Spring Programs
Youth Spring Season
The 10 week spring season is the main season of play for MetroLacrosse Youth teams. Players can sign up to have their home field be at Chelsea High School or at Franklin Field in Dorchester. Practices will be held 2 nights per week with games and special events on Saturdays. Youth teams will mainly play other MetroLacrosse teams as they learn the basics of the game. Transportation will be provided for teams that are not scheduled to play at their home field.
Dates: Mandatory RESPECT Tryouts: Week of March 19th, Season runs from April 8-June 15, 2013

Junior Spring Season
The 10 week spring season is the main season of play for MetroLacrosse Youth teams. Players can sign up to have their home field be at Chelsea High School or at Franklin Field in Dorchester. Practices will be held 2 nights per week with games and special events on Saturdays. Youth teams will play other MetroLacrosse teams and a variety of other local lacrosse teams. Transportation will be provided for teams that are not scheduled to play at their home field.

High School Spring Season
The 12 week spring season is the main season of play for MetroLacrosse High School teams. The team practices or has games 5 nights per week at Moakley Field in South Boston. Some Saturday commitments are required. The team will have one session per week in the MetroLacrosse office and participants need to be able to get both to the office and to Moakley Field. Transportation will be provided for away games.

Summer Programs
SummerBounce
SummerBounce is an annual overnight summer program for participants entering grades 7-12 in the fall of 2013. A highlight of the MetroLacrosse calendar every year, SummerBounce features a great staff, plenty of lacrosse, and the Alpine Tower team building experience. This year SummerBounce will welcome participants and staff from cities across the country.
Dates: Week 1 – Current 5th-7th Graders, July 7th-12th, 2013 / Week 2 – Current 8th-11th Graders, August 4th-9th, 2013

Coaches-in Training
MetroLacrosse provides employment opportunities for 10-15 teen participants through its Coaches-In-Training and MLK Summer Scholars Program . CITs are trained as coaches by MetroLacrosse staff and receive additional professional development training through the MLK Summer Scholares program. The job is 8 weeks of coaching young people at various summer camps across the city. CITs are responsible for all aspects of planning and executing sessions. In addition to coaching, CITs are required to help with several small projects throughout the summer.

Summer LacrosseFIT
MetroLacrosse will provide summer day programming for 2 weeks during July. Players are welcome to sign up for one or both weeks. Each week will be open to players who have previously participated a program offered by MetroLacrosse. The days will consist of lacrosse sessions to improve the skill and fitness of participants and classroom sessions to allow the participants to explore the topics of leadership, health and nutrition, and community service. A healthy lunch will be provided to participants. Summer LacrosseFIT is a great way for kids to improve their lacrosse skills and stay active through the summer while developing strong relationships with peers and mentors through the R.E.S.P.E.C.T. curriculum.
Eligibility: Players entering 5th – 9th grade who have previously participated in any MetroLacrosse program
Dates: Week 1: Tuesday, July 16th – Friday, July 19th / Week 2: Tuesday, July 23rd – Friday, July 26th
