We are accepting registration for the following programs:
Rookie, Youth & Junior Winter Workouts
Winter training is a six week program that takes place on Saturday mornings in the months of January and February. Practices will be filled with drills, games, and conditioning to help players get ready for the upcoming Spring Season. Players new to MetroLacrosse are welcome to participate and practice locations will be available both in Dorchester and Chelsea.
Dates: January 17-February 21, 2015; Saturday Mornings
Times: Rookies—9:00-10:00am; Youth & Juniors—10:00-11:00am
Locations: Dorchester – Young Achievers Pilot School (20 Outlook Road, Mattapan); Chelsea - TBD
Eligibility: Boys and girls who live or go to school in Boston or Chelsea and who are currently in 3rd-8th grade.
High School Winter Workouts
Winter Workouts is 6 weeks long and meets three weeknights/week (specific nights TBA based on permits). Two nights are at a gym to work on strength, agility and stick work and the third night is at the MetroLacrosse office for enrichment surrounding job shadows and readiness along with study hall. This is a good opportunity for returners to prepare for the Spring Season and take advantage of our job shadow program placing participants in a professional setting during February vacation (February 16th-20th).
Dates: January 12th, 2014 – February 20th, 2014
Practice Nights (2): 6:00-7:30pm at the Melnea Cass Recreation Complex (120 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Roxbury)
Enrichment Nights (1): Classroom/Enrichment 5:30-7:00pm at the MetroLacrosse Office (209 Green st, Jamaica Plain)
Eligibility: Boys and girls who live or go to school in Boston or Chelsea and who are in 9th-12th grade
Transportation: Shuttle from Jackson Square T stop to Melnea Cass Rec Complex provided each week if player notifies staff
