Full-time and Part-time Positions

The staff at MetroLacrosse are a highly motivated, hard-working, diverse group of individuals who enjoy the challenge of working for a small non-profit organization. MetroLacrosse currently seeks individuals who have a passion for and commitment to improving the quality of education and the number of opportunities for children living in low-income communities, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and who are very well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-focused environment.

MetroLacrosse currently does not have any full-time positions available.

 

Coach for America

Apply by December 23, 2009 to have an opportunity to coach for MetroLacrosse in 2010 through our Coach for America program. This is a paid AmeriCorps position working with MetroLacrosse.

Coach for America, a proud member of AmeriCorps, is the first nationwide effort to mobilize highly trained Corps Members (CMs) as Sports Based Youth Development (SBYD) experts and coaches. Coaches will serve, teach and support under-resourced youth, as well as the youth development organizations that provide valuable programming in their vulnerable communities and come together from diverse backgrounds for a demanding youth coaching experience.

During your time of service (450 hours of service within 6-7 months), you will be assigned to work with the MetroLacrosse program staff, where you will coach, manage and recruit youth lacrosse in the Boston area.

Teen Employment

The MetroLacrosse Teen Employment Program is a paid school-year opportunity available to current 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade participants during the months of October - June. 

All positions for the 2009-2010 school year have been filled. New positions will be available in the Fall of 2010.

Internships

At various intervals throughout the year, MetroLacrosse seeks interns who are interested in learning about all aspects of a sports-based non-profit organization. Interns may assist with administrative tasks, lacrosse programs, and/or fundraising events. Depending on the need, MetroLacrosse will consider either full or part-time interns.

MetroLacrosse does not currently have any internships available.

Summer Camp Counselors

In July and August, MetroLacrosse offers a four-week summer camp opportunity for youth participants. This camp focuses on both lacrosse and youth development, with a focus on leadership and team dynamics.

All counselor positions for Summer 2009 have been filled.
